From prepress to delivery, the staff at Edwards Printing is dedicated to quality work. Sharing decades of industry experience, each member of our team has the knowledge and experience to make sure each job is done efficiently and professionally.
Our passion for the industry makes our work a rewarding experience. Here's what our staff has to say about what they do each day:
"The thing I enjoy most about working in printing is producing something high-quality and high-impact. I was always passionate about graphic arts, and I’m really interested in all of the parts of the process. I’ve done just about everything along the line: from starting on a small two-color press to digital photography, to being a touch-up artist, to running presses. What I really enjoy now is the front-end organization, and making sure all of the pieces of each job come together correctly to produce the best product in the most efficient manner." - Shawn Duffy, Customer Service Manager
"I started out in textile printing, running a step-and-repeat machine. I love art, and printing absolutely is art. It has a strong mechanical side, which blends with the artistic side to make a real impact. I like helping to create something tangible, something that provides a more sensory experience than what is available with digital options. I especially like challenging jobs. I’m production-oriented, and I like getting things done efficiently." - Kim Millner, Prepress Technician
"My father was a printer, so naturally I’ve been in the industry for a long time. I started in the pressroom as a feeder operator on a two-color press, then moved to prepress and making plates. I’m a troubleshooter, problem solver, and I like making stuff work. Since IT and prepress intertwine so much, that’s where I do my best work. I like finding creative solutions to complicated problems. Technology is a big part of what we do here.
We use software built by Heidelberg to communicate between the prepress process and the pressroom. This software helps measure variables like ink usage, which is then transferred to the press that is running the job. This helps cut our makeready time by 75%.
I love printing, especially when we get to do a difficult job. It’s a great feeling, to produce something that really impresses the customer." -Dave Watson, Director of IT
